New Hope Corporation achieved run-of-mine coal production of 4.7 million tonnes across its operations for the quarter ended July 31, 2026, marking an 11.3 per cent increase compared to the previous quarter.

At the Bengalla Mine, where New Hope holds an 80 per cent joint venture interest, run-of-mine coal production reached 3.03 million tonnes during the quarter, representing a 16.3 per cent increase from the previous period. Prime waste movement totalled 12.08 million bank cubic metres, down 12.2 per cent following heavy overburden removal in earlier periods. Bengalla recorded an FOB cash cost, excluding state royalties, of $84.50 per sales tonne, up 14.2 per cent due to lower sales volumes. For the full 2026 financial year, Bengalla delivered an FOB cash cost of $81.30 per sales tonne, meeting the lower end of its $81.00 to $89.00 guidance range.

Across the full 2026 financial year, New Hope delivered saleable coal production of 11.5 million tonnes and coal sales of 11.8 million tonnes, exceeding the high end of guidance ranges. Group operating cash generation reached $564.1 million for the full year, leaving the company with available cash and fixed income investments of $778.5 million as at July 31, 2026.

In Queensland, the New Acland Mine produced 1.7 million tonnes of run-of-mine coal during the quarter, while saleable coal production eased 13.2 per cent to 0.78 million tonnes due to planned plant maintenance and approval noise constraints. Access to the Manning Vale West pit at New Acland is scheduled for the second half of 2026.

New Hope also holds a 25.97 per cent equity interest in Malabar Resources Limited, which officially opened the Maxwell Underground Mine on July 9, 2026. Malabar is scheduled to commence pillar extraction at its underground operation during the third quarter of the 2026 calendar year.
