New Murchison Gold Limited (NMG) has reported significant high-grade gold intercepts from recent drilling at its Garden Gully project. The campaign, involving a combination of grade control and resource definition drilling at the Cloudkicker deposit, successfully intersected mineralisation that exhibits both higher grades and greater widths than those outlined in earlier resource estimations. The work program comprised 136 grade control holes and 30 resource definition holes, totalling 8,172 metres.

The drilling focused heavily on domain 4001, the most substantial ore zone within the deposit. Data from this zone indicate that the mineralisation is more continuous than previously modelled, bolstered by the increased confidence levels provided by the new data. Notable intersections from the campaign include 10 metres at 13.61g/t gold from 44 metres, and another intercept of 9 metres at 9.31g/t gold from three metres depth. The program also yielded several high-grade individual assay results, including a peak return of 54.8g/t gold.

Cloudkicker is situated adjacent to the company’s existing Crown Prince open pit. Because the deposit falls within the scope of the previously granted mining approval for the operation, mining activities have already commenced. The company expects the deposit to contribute approximately 20,000 ounces of gold to its production profile over the next 12 to 18 months.

Looking ahead, the company intends to integrate the latest drill logging and assay information into its current models. This data will facilitate an update to the Cloudkicker resource estimation, which will subsequently inform revisions to the mine design and open pit production schedule.
