NewPeak Metals Limited has returned assay results from the final five drillholes of its 2026 exploration program at the Las Opeñas gold-polymetallic project in Argentina's San Juan Province, highlighted by a 657-metre intercept from surface in hole LODH-027.

The new hole returned 657 metres at 0.30g/t gold equivalent from surface, including 117 metres at 0.60g/t gold equivalent from 77 metres, 202 metres at 0.50g/t gold equivalent from 77 metres, and 284 metres at 0.40g/t gold equivalent from 77 metres. Hole LODH-027 was collared approximately 45 metres from discovery hole LODH-023, which intersected 663 metres at 0.42g/t gold equivalent from surface.

Additional assays confirmed broad mineralised intervals across the project area. Hole LODH-026 returned 141 metres at 0.30g/t gold equivalent from 295 metres. Hole LODH-025 intersected 280 metres at 0.20g/t gold equivalent from surface, including a 133-metre section averaging 0.30g/t gold equivalent from surface. Hole LODH-024 delivered 24 metres at 0.25g/t gold equivalent from 81 metres.

The company previously tested narrow, high-grade veining in 2019 before returning in 2026 to target broad bulk-tonnage mineralisation. Current results confirm that the mineralised system extends to significant depth and remains open in multiple directions, with gold grades strengthening towards the west.

This drilling program has been transformational for NewPeak. We started the year with an early- stage exploration prospect and we finish this phase of drilling with a mineralised system defined at both significant depth (and near-surface) and across a significant strike length. A second 650m-plus intercept in LODH-027, alongside meaningful results across the remaining holes, confirms what discovery hole LODH-023 first indicated in July: Las Opeñas is a system of genuine scale.

To support ongoing exploration, the company secured A$3.5 million via a share placement in July 2026, with the final tranche providing approximately A$2.8 million in cash. NewPeak Metals is planning a Phase 2 drilling program of up to 7,500 metres at the project later this year, with future collar locations to be refined following the integration of multi-element assay and structural data from the completed phase 1 campaign.
