Newport Exploration Collects AUD$385,012 Gross Royalty Payment for Cooper Basin Quarter

Newport Exploration Ltd received a net royalty payment of AUD$269,510 for the May to July 2026 quarter from Beach Energy Ltd, down from AUD$307,108 net in the preceding quarter.
Gross royalty income for the quarter totalled AUD$385,012, subject to a 30% Australian withholding tax of AUD$115,502. The latest figures compare with gross royalty income of AUD$438,725 and net income of AUD$307,108 for the February to April 2026 period.
The payment represents the company’s 2.5% gross overriding royalty over licences in Australia's Cooper Basin, operated by Beach Energy. Newport holds the GOR assets without any time limit, expiry date, or retention cost.
Because Newport has no control over operating decisions made by Beach Energy, the company recommends that shareholders and potential investors access material information released independently by Beach Energy and Santos Ltd to keep current during ongoing exploration, development, and production activities across the licence areas. Beach Energy previously scheduled the progressive restoration of remaining flood-impacted oil wells on the Cooper Basin Western Flank for the first half of fiscal year 2027 following earlier weather disruptions.
Newport maintains approximately CDN$2.9 million in its treasury in cash, cash equivalents, and short-term investments, with no debt and 105,579,874 common shares issued and outstanding.
