NexGold Mining Corp. held $101.1 million in cash and short-term investments at June 30, 2026, compared to $104.5 million at March 31, 2026, as the company advanced development work across its Canadian asset portfolio during the second quarter.

The quarterly financial results, accompanied by a net loss of $16.0 million or $0.06 per share compared to a net loss of $11.4 million in the previous period, reflected ongoing exploration expenditures and project engineering activities.

At the flagship Goldboro Gold Project in Nova Scotia, NexGold progressed work toward an updated Feasibility Study scheduled for completion in 2026, alongside preparations for a potential construction decision in late 2026. The company expanded its reverse circulation infill drill program from 30,000 metres to approximately 40,000 metres following initial results that confirmed near-surface mineralization.

In Northwestern Ontario, the company advanced exploration at the Goliath Gold Complex—which encompasses the Goliath, Goldlund and Miller deposits—as part of a 25,000-metre infill and expansion diamond drilling program focused on the Goldlund Deposit. NexGold also entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Eagle Lake First Nation and Lac Seul First Nation to establish a framework for collaboration regarding the complex.

“NexGold was very active in the second quarter of 2026, with a strong focus on the continued execution, advancement, and strengthening of its two cornerstone development projects. At Goldboro, the Company continued to make progress across several key development activities in advance of a potential construction decision later this year. Most notably, the updated Goldboro Feasibility Study remains on track for completion in 2026. The Company also advanced a reverse circulation infill drill program at Goldboro designed to enhance confidence in mine planning for the initial years contemplated in the current mine plan. Results received to date have supported the objectives of the program, leading the Company to increase the planned program from 30,000 metres to 40,000 metres.”
