NexGold Mining Corp. has returned 5.26 g/t gold over 7.0 metres from 41.0 metres, including 31.29 g/t gold over 1.0 metre, in drill hole RC-26-226 during ongoing reverse circulation infill drilling at the Goldboro Gold Project in Nova Scotia.

The company released assay results covering 3,591 metres from 85 reverse circulation drill holes completed within the west pit area of the deposit. Additional highlights from the program include drill hole RC-26-195, which returned 7.08 g/t gold over 5.0 metres from 9.0 metres, including 25.11 g/t gold over 1.0 metre, and drill hole RC-26-163, which intercepted 14.97 g/t gold over 2.0 metres from 38.0 metres, including 29.62 g/t gold over 1.0 metre.

The reverse circulation infill drill program is designed to test mineralized zones within the planned west and east pits at a nominal drill spacing of 12.5 metres down to depths of 50 metres. NexGold increased the drilling program from 30,000 metres to 40,000 metres following a recently closed $10 million flow-through financing. Over 76% of the expanded program is now complete.

The high-density data aims to increase confidence in near-surface mineral resources within the early years of the mine plan and support potential classification upgrades from the Indicated to the Measured category.

NexGold expects to incorporate the results of the infill drill program into a future updated mineral resource estimate. That estimate is being completed separately from an updated feasibility study for the Goldboro project, which NexGold expects to finish later in 2026. The company also anticipates making a potential investment decision for the project later this year.
