Nexus Minerals Limited (NXM) has released the final set of assay results from its resource definition drilling program at the Payns prospect, part of the wider Wallbrook gold project in Western Australia. This latest update covers 49 reverse circulation holes totalling 3,816 metres, successfully concluding the 79-hole campaign at the prospect. The results delineate consistent, near-surface gold mineralisation, highlighted by an intercept of 5 metres at 12.83g/t Au, which includes a 1-metre high-grade interval grading 34.77g/t Au.

These findings are central to the company’s objective of expanding its project-wide resource base. The drilling data from Payns, combined with results from the Clement prospect, will now be integrated into an updated multi-prospect Mineral Resource Estimate. This work is designed to grow the current resource, which is presently limited to the Crusader-Templar deposit. The company notes that the geological continuity identified at Payns remains open, leaving potential for future expansion along strike and at depth.

"Completing the full 21,985m Wallbrook RC drilling program safely, on time and with results of this calibre is a credit to the entire exploration team. Payns assay reporting is now complete, with the program returning impressive near-surface, high-grade intercepts. Encouragingly, the drilling has left ongoing scope to grow the Payns prospect both along strike and at depth. Both Payns and Clement are now positioned with high-quality datasets to support the Wallbrook updated MRE."

— Andy Tudor, Managing Director

The broader 21,985-metre RC campaign at Wallbrook, which launched in April, spans four distinct target areas: Clement, Payns, Branches, and the Crusader-Templar deposit. While the reporting for Payns is now finished, the company has indicated that assay data for the remaining prospects, specifically Branches and Crusader-Templar, is expected to be released throughout July and August. These subsequent results will be essential for refining the company's understanding of the project's overall geological potential.

With the drilling phase now concluded, management is focused on data synthesis and geological modelling. The project remains on schedule for the delivery of an updated, multi-prospect Mineral Resource Estimate, which is targeted for completion during the September 2026 quarter. This milestone is intended to provide a updated picture of the scale and grade profile of the Wallbrook project as a whole, following the systematic exploration efforts conducted over the past 18 months. The consistent sampling approach, utilising one-metre intervals across all holes and advanced analytical techniques, has been maintained throughout the program to ensure the integrity of the data being fed into the upcoming resource calculation.
