Nimy Resources Limited has extracted 84% of gallium and 80% to 95% of rare earth elements from material at the Mons Project in Western Australia, establishing a baseline processing route for its Block 3 deposit.

The baseline extraction method relies on proprietary process technology developed by Nimy specifically for the deposit's chloritised schist mineralisation. The technical data from the program are now feeding directly into an ongoing Scoping Study, which was initiated in February 2026 to evaluate the project's preliminary capital and operating costs, process design criteria, and economic outlook.

The metallurgical work has progressed from initial screening to demonstrating a technically viable integrated process route that recovers gallium and rare earth elements into a mixed intermediate product using conventional impurity-removal and recovery techniques.

To refine the flowsheet further, the company has commenced a three-stage research program supported by the Mineral Research Institute of Western Australia, combining expertise from Strategic Metallurgy and Curtin University. Ongoing test work is evaluating alternative processing configurations alongside the baseline flowsheet to identify the optimum balance between technical maturity, capital intensity, and operating costs.

The current evaluation builds upon prior commercial steps for the asset, including a non-binding memorandum of understanding signed with U.S. critical minerals group M2i Global in September 2025 to supply gallium and secure development funding.
