Nine Mile Metals Intersects 31.95 Metres Grading 2.52% Cu-Eq At Wedge Project

Nine Mile Metals Ltd. has returned assay results from drill hole DDH WD-26-10 at the Wedge project in New Brunswick’s Bathurst Mining Camp, intersecting a 31.95-metre massive sulphide zone grading 2.52% copper equivalent from 109.00 metres to 140.95 metres depth.
The drill hole was collared in the southwest at the edge of the existing drill pattern and drilled to a depth of 224 metres. Within the broader interval, assays identified a 14.15-metre section averaging 3.73% copper equivalent from 123.00 metres to 137.15 metres, which includes a 4.15-metre interval grading 5.16% copper equivalent from 133.00 metres to 137.15 metres.
The drill core consisted of massive pyritic volcanogenic massive sulphide mineralization with locally visible chalcopyrite, sphalerite and galena, hosted within felsic volcanics and sediments. Assay values for silver, gold, lead and zinc increased with depth across the intersection.
The result follows previous drilling at the asset, where hole WD-26-09 intersected a 24.55-metre massive sulphide zone grading 3.49% copper equivalent. The Wedge project is a past-producing mine that historically yielded 1.5 million tonnes of copper ore before closing in 1968.
“Drilling continues to expand the mineralized footprint in the southwest. As with DDH WD-26-07, we see a variation in the distribution of the mineralization, with this hole highlighting increased assay values for Ag, Au, Pb and Zn at depth, further demonstrating the multi-element value of the Wedge,” said Gary Lohman, vice president of exploration and director.
The company plans to incorporate the latest drill results into ongoing 3D modelling work directed toward an updated NI 43-101 technical report and a future mineral resource estimate for the Wedge property. Elsewhere in the district, Canadian Copper Inc. closed a $44 million project financing and stream agreement with OR Royalties to advance its Murray Brook project and the Caribou Process Plant in July 2026.
