Nord Precious Metals has begun pre-submission consultations with the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) regarding its silver tailings recovery program in the Gowganda Silver Camp.

The engagement involves reviewing project information and identifying the technical materials required for environmental submissions. This process runs in parallel with the company's preparations for a Mineral Recovery Permit application under Ontario Regulation 463/24, a framework designed to streamline the recovery of minerals from historical tailings.

The company plans to use a modular gravity-concentration circuit to process the surface tailings, aiming for a low-capital path to production. Nord intends to use potential cash flow from the recovery program to fund district-scale exploration across its broader property holdings.

The regulatory pathway for the project involves a series of workstreams, including the development of a project description, site plans, and preliminary water and mass balance studies. The Ministry has requested a consolidated submission package that includes these technical elements along with baseline data and records of Indigenous consultation.

The company is working toward several key project milestones in the second half of 2026, including:

• Completion of an updated NI 43-101 mineral resource estimate for the Gowganda property.
• Finalisation of the technical report detailing the economics of the tailings reprocessing.
• Submission of the formal Mineral Recovery Permit application under Ontario Regulation 463/24.
