Nord Precious Metals Mining Inc. has reported an updated Mineral Resource Estimate for its Gowganda Silver Tailings Project in Ontario, establishing an Indicated Mineral Resource of 1,845,000 tonnes grading 47.4 grams per tonne silver containing 2,814,000 ounces of silver.

The estimate, prepared by GeoVector Management Inc. with an effective date of August 1, 2026, supersedes previous historical estimates. The work covers four domains, led by the Main Tailings with 1,762,000 tonnes at 46.3 grams per tonne for 2,622,000 ounces, followed by the South Tailings at 52,000 tonnes grading 42.9 grams per tonne for 72,000 ounces, Outflow One at 10,000 tonnes at 96.5 grams per tonne for 31,000 ounces, and Outflow Two at 21,000 tonnes at 134.0 grams per tonne for 89,000 ounces.

GeoVector based the figures on 2,898 metres of historical auger, drive-pipe and sonic drill holes. Modelling applied inverse distance squared interpolation on 1.5-metre composites with silver grades capped at 250 grams per tonne and a density of 2.12 tonnes per cubic metre. The base case cut-off grade of 10 grams per tonne silver assumes an operating cost of C$17 per tonne, a silver price of US$65 per ounce, and an 81.6 percent silver recovery from a 2007 metallurgical program.

The updated inventory follows Nord's March 31, 2026 acquisition of four mining leases in the Gowganda Silver Camp from Battery Mineral Resources Corp., which consolidated historical tailings and past-producing ground.

GeoVector is preparing a supporting NI 43-101 technical report to be filed on SEDAR+ within 45 days. In parallel, Nord is advancing its planned Mineral Recovery Permit application under Ontario Regulation 463/24, supported by technical reviews from Okane and concurrent water-taking and environmental approval planning.

“The updated resource gives us a defined silver inventory and a firm technical foundation for the work supporting our recovery-permit application,” said Frank J. Basa, P.Eng., Chief Executive Officer of Nord. “Our objective is silver production at Gowganda, and we are pressing the engineering, metallurgy and permitting work forward. The land package we have assembled in the Gowganda camp brings historic mines and the Castle East discovery together, with TTL's silver-processing capability in Cobalt supporting our wider ambitions. We intend to put the value in these historical tailings back to work: improve the site, build a recovery business and use the cash flow it could generate to pursue the next discoveries across our ground.”
