Nordique Critical Metals Submits Kwyjibo PEA to Exchange to Advance 80% Earn-In Acquisition
Nordique Critical Metals Inc. has submitted the preliminary economic assessment technical report and an accompanying financial plan for the Kwyjibo Rare Earth Project to the TSX Venture Exchange.
The regulatory filings satisfy key closing conditions required for the company to acquire an option to earn an undivided interest of up to 80% in the project. Nordique entered into an agreement with SOQUEM Inc. in November 2025 to secure the earn-in right, establishing a framework to advance the asset through structured cash payments and common share issuances over a five-year period.
The newly submitted technical report incorporates engineering enhancements and design refinements specifically tailored to address community concerns regarding the project's environmental footprint. These modifications build upon an updated preliminary economic assessment completed in July 2026, which outlined an underground development plan supporting a 10-year mine life and an off-site hydrometallurgical complex designed to minimize surface disruption.
The current regulatory submission follows an adjusted timeline. Nordique previously stated in May 2026 that the preliminary economic assessment technical report was expected to be completed in June 2026. Following the recent exchange delivery, the company expects to file the technical report under its profile on SEDAR+ in late August 2026, subject to incorporating any applicable feedback from the TSX Venture Exchange.
Upon fulfilling these conditional approval requirements, Nordique anticipates closing the acquisition and exercising its option to earn an undivided interest of up to 80% in the Kwyjibo Rare Earth Project.
