Norsemont Completes 16 Drill Holes And Advances Phase 3 Program At Choquelimpie

Norsemont Mining Inc. has completed 16 drill holes totaling 4,100 meters year-to-date in its ongoing Phase 3 exploration program at the Choquelimpie gold-silver-copper project in northern Chile.
The current drilling campaign encompasses up to 5,000 meters of diamond drilling, building upon 1,700 meters completed during 2025. Fieldwork has expanded across five key zones, helping the geological team outline the boundaries of several hydrothermal breccia bodies and mineralized zones. Multiple gold-bearing styles have been confirmed, including hydrothermal breccias, porphyry-related quartz-magnetite veinlets, and quartz-mica-sulfide alteration zones carrying base-metal mineralization.
Drill hole MV26-DD24 is underway, offsetting from known mineralization and targeting an extension between the Choque and Vizcacha Zones. Assay results for all 16 completed holes are currently pending. Alongside ongoing drilling, Norsemont has scheduled metallurgical and 3D geological studies for later in 2026 to refine the precious- and base-metal relationships across the system. The company also targets the filing of an Environmental Impact Declaration for the project in December 2026.
The current meterage represents an advance from earlier in the year, when Norsemont had reported nine holes totaling 2,187 meters completed as of July 2, 2026.
In the August 28th news release, the Company announced a restatement of certain financial statements related to the accounting treatment of its December 2025 convertible debentures, due December 2028, shifting it from long‑term to short‑term liability. The accounting adjustments do not affect the Company's cash position of $13,677,089 as of June 30, 2026. Norsemont remains well funded, drilling is progressing well and we anticipate assay results to be released shortly.
