Norsemont Intersects 41m at 4.59 g/t Gold at Choquelimpie
Norsemont Mining Inc. has returned assay results from eight additional drill holes at its 100%-owned Choquelimpie gold-silver-copper project in northern Chile, highlighted by a standout intercept of 41 meters grading 4.59 g/t gold in drill hole DD13.

The latest results from the Phase 3 program include an 18-meter high-grade interval at 9.7 g/t gold within the Vizcacha Zone. Drill hole DD13 delivered one of the strongest gold intervals to date before being abandoned at 88.5 meters due to difficult down-hole conditions.
Other completed holes expanded mineralization into areas lacking prior block grades within the 2025 resource model. Drill hole DD07 intersected two mineralized intervals within quartz-mica-sulfide altered porphyry, including a 39-meter interval and a 12-meter interval with elevated silver, lead and zinc values. Drill hole DD11 intersected 39 meters of mineralization within clay-alunite-sulfide altered dacite-andesite porphyry and hydrothermal breccia.
Norsemont is currently trading at $1.08, up 16.13% on the session.
“The recognition of 3 distinct styles of gold mineralization marks an important step forward in our understanding of the Choquelimpie mineral system. The high‑grade interval in DD13 of 41 meters of 4.59 g/t Au, further supports the occurrence of the Vizcacha Zone near-surface gold mineralization.”
“Choquelimpie continues to demonstrate scale, grade, and geological complexity consistent with major Andean mineral systems.”

The Phase 3 campaign has completed 16 core holes totaling 4,100 meters in 2026, targeting deeper hydrothermal breccia bodies, structural controls, and mineralized extensions. To relieve a backlog caused by heavy sample volumes and inclement weather in Chile from June through August, Norsemont is submitting a portion of its core samples to a second geochemical laboratory, ALS, to reduce assay turnaround times.
The Choquelimpie project is a past-producing mine featuring over 1,720 historical drill holes and existing infrastructure, including roads, power, water, camp facilities, and a previously operational 3,000-tpd mill. Norsemont holds the asset as its flagship property, supported by a Technical Report filed on May 16, 2025, outlining indicated resources of 81.9 million tonnes at 0.66 g/t gold and inferred resources of 25.3 million tonnes at 0.55 g/t gold.
In the surrounding district, New Pacific Metals Corp. secured 30-year fixed-term administrative mining contracts and launched its drilling campaign at the Carangas project on August 26, 2026.
Norsemont plans to conduct metallurgical studies on sulfide materials later in 2026 to assess mineralogical relationships between precious and base metals across the system.
