Nortec Minerals has commenced bedrock trenching, mapping, and sampling at the Barker Bay Gold Project, located approximately 55 kilometres south of Dryden, Ontario.

The fieldwork follows the completion of a drone magnetic and LiDAR survey over the Barker North and Petrie target areas. The survey covers a coherent, more than 700-metre northwest-trending gold-in-soil anomaly with several values exceeding 0.2 g/t gold at Barker North. This data provides higher-resolution, continuous coverage extending beyond an earlier ground magnetic survey that covered approximately 500 metres of the Barker trend.

The 100%-owned, 4,650-hectare project sits within the Eagle-Wabigoon-Manitou greenstone belt of the Western Wabigoon Subprovince. Historical mine workings from the 1890s are present at the Barker and Petrie showings, where historical grab samples yielded up to 24.5 g/t gold and 11.3 g/t gold, respectively. These historical grab samples are selective in nature and have not been verified by the company.

The current trenching program is designed to expose bedrock beneath the coincident geochemical anomalies and magnetic features, allowing Nortec Minerals to assess lithology, structure, alteration, and potential mineralization at surface across interpreted subparallel structural corridors.

Nortec Minerals intends to use the results from the ongoing trenching and sampling program to rank targets and design a focused, maiden drill program for the property.
