North Peak Starts Diamond Drilling at Prospect Mountain to Test Geophysical Targets
North Peak Resources has commenced diamond drilling at its Prospect Mountain Mine Complex in Eureka County, Nevada, to test magnetotelluric geophysical anomalies and oxide targets along the Silver Connor Fault.
The initial core drilling program follows a property-wide integration and reinterpretation of available geophysical data, which refined the position of the magnetotelluric anomalies in three-dimensional space and shifted their center westward. The revised target extends along a strike length of more than 1.5 kilometres, running parallel to the Silver Connor Fault.

Previous drilling at the property in 2023 included hole PM23-001, which intercepted narrow zones of massive sulphide mineralization, including 1.0 metre grading 9.5% zinc and 221.6 g/t silver, and 1.9 metres grading 7.3% zinc and 54.6 g/t silver. The high zinc content and relatively low gold and lead values suggest that the 2023 hole intersected material peripheral to a mineralized core.
North Peak completed full acquisition of the property in July 2025 and conducted an initial drill campaign in the autumn of that year. Related site work, including regrading access roads to improve water haulage to the drill pads, has been completed to support the current campaign.
“With such a large geophysical response, refining targeting is very important. Our understanding of the controls on mineralization has improved dramatically with the detailed exploration work over the last three years. With the revised groundworks now complete, we are pleased to have core drilling underway at Prospect Mountain, testing both the refined potential sulphide geophysical target at depth and oxide targets associated with the Silver Connor Fault, which we believe is an important control for mineralization on the west side of the mountain,” stated Rupert Williams, CEO.
Meanwhile, a reverse circulation drill campaign that began on August 10, 2026, in the Lower PME area on the east side of the mountain is expected to relocate to the west side of Prospect Mountain in September 2026. Elsewhere in the surrounding district, Sun Silver Limited intersected 16.8 metres at 20 g/t silver equivalent from surface at its Maverick Springs project on September 7, 2026.
