Northern Lights Appoints Luka Capin as Interim CEO
Northern Lights Resources Corp. has appointed company director Luka Capin as interim chief executive officer, replacing Guy Mahaffy following his resignation for personal reasons after approximately one month in the role.
Mahaffy originally assumed the chief executive officer position on July 20, 2026. His departure marks another leadership transition for the company, as Capin previously served as chief executive officer from November 2025 until July 2026 before being succeeded by Mahaffy.
Capin returns to the executive role as Northern Lights advances several key mineral properties across North America. The company's ongoing development priorities include the Horetzky Copper Project in British Columbia and the 100% owned Secret Pass Gold Project located in Arizona.
At the Pup Copper Project in the Yukon, Northern Lights is executing its inaugural drill program. The work is designed to test bedrock beneath copper-in-soil anomalies and surface copper oxide mineralization identified across the Petal and Gismo Zones.
“We have active work underway at Pup and continue to advance Horetzky and Secret Pass. I look forward to working with the Board and our technical team as we continue moving these projects forward”
— Luka Capin, Interim Chief Executive Officer
The board of directors thanked Mahaffy for his contributions during his tenure and wished him well in his future endeavors.
