Northern Lights Completes Integrated 3D Geological Model at Horetzky Copper Project

Northern Lights Resources has completed a comprehensive 3D geological and geophysical model at the Horetzky Copper Project in British Columbia’s Babine Porphyry Belt, combining modern data inversions with historical survey records to refine future drill targeting.

The Horetzky property covers 5,057 hectares in the Babine porphyry belt, where Eocene diorite to granodiorite porphyries intrude volcanic and sedimentary host rocks. The project has a five-year Multi-Year Area Based exploration permit authorizing activities including geophysical surveying, trenching, and drilling up to 100 holes.

The updated technical evaluation incorporates modern 2D inversion of historical induced polarization and resistivity data originally gathered in 1972 by McPhar Geophysics for Hecla Operating Company. Re-evaluating these legacy records using Res2Dinv software identified anomalies to an approximate depth of 100 metres that were left untested by historical drilling.

These re-processed electrical datasets were evaluated alongside approximately 120 line-kilometres of MobileMT airborne electromagnetic survey data flown in May 2026 by Expert Geophysics Limited. The MobileMT survey produced resistivity-depth sections that image subsurface architecture to more than 1,000 metres depth. The team also integrated a previously reported 3D aeromagnetic model that maps a multi-phase intrusive complex extending to more than 2,500 metres from surface, sitting directly beneath a 2-kilometre by 2.5-kilometre anomalous copper-in-soil geochemical footprint. Because no physical property measurements have yet been taken on-site, interpretation of the MobileMT electromagnetic survey inversion remains inferred.

Northern Lights plans to use the integrated 3D geological model and deep-penetrating 3D geophysics at Horetzky to refine and prioritize future exploration and drill targets.
