Northern Shield Resources Inc. has defined four priority targets from a 3D induced polarization geophysical survey completed over the Creston copper porphyry target at its flagship Root & Cellar Property on the Burin Peninsula of eastern Newfoundland.

The survey covered a 4.6-square-kilometre grid using a distributed receiver array. Inversion modelling of chargeability and resistivity outlined four distinct anomalies across the property, which is being explored for porphyry copper, gold, silver, and tellurium.

Three of the anomalies—designated IP-1, IP-2, and IP-3—appear connected within a single zone of elevated chargeability. Target IP-1 sits near surface with a chargeability response of approximately 9.5 mV/V, coinciding with a bornite and chalcocite occurrence identified during ground truthing. It plunges shallowly to the southeast into the IP-2 anomaly, which extends from near surface to a depth of approximately 450 metres with chargeability readings between 9.8 and 12.5 mV/V and resistivity averaging roughly 6,875 ohm-metres.

Target IP-3 exhibits modelled chargeability of 9 to 11.2 mV/V at depths ranging from 245 to 570 metres, positioned on the southern flank of a magnetic high interpreted as the driving porphyry intrusion. Together, IP-2 and IP-3 share a strike-length of approximately 1,000 metres along a trend parallel to a diatreme breccia complex and local copper mineralization. A fourth target, IP-4, measures 240 metres by 300 metres in plan and extends to a depth of roughly 400 metres, showing chargeability of 8.5 to 9.0 mV/V alongside highly elevated resistivity averaging 9,350 ohm-metres.

Northern Shield optioned the property from a local prospector and has advanced the asset from initial copper showings into a broader gold-silver-tellurium and porphyry copper system.

Ground truthing of the geophysical anomalies is underway. The company has also received permits for 15 new drill hole collars, bringing its total permitted inventory to 29 holes when combined with 14 previously permitted collars. Nine of the newly permitted collar locations are situated within the main Conquest Zone.
