Northern Star Resources Outlines Executive Leadership Changes

Northern Star Resources Ltd has announced leadership changes, with Ryan Gurner stepping in as Interim CEO following the departure of Managing Director and CEO Stuart Tonkin on August 28, 2026.

Mr Gurner will serve as Interim CEO until Suresh Vadnagra commences as Managing Director and CEO on October 5, 2026. During his interim tenure, Mr Gurner receives an additional fixed annual remuneration allowance of $157,800, bringing his base to $1,057,800 inclusive of compulsory superannuation.

Following Mr Vadnagra’s arrival, Mr Gurner will resume his role as Chief Financial Officer for a two-month transition period before leaving the company on November 30, 2026, after more than 11 years of service. Northern Star will launch a recruitment process for a new Chief Financial Officer.

In view of Mr Gurner's interim appointment, Phillip Coetzer has been appointed Acting Chief Financial Officer effective August 29, 2026, until Mr Vadnagra commences. Mr Coetzer has served as General Manager of Finance since joining the company in 2022.

Chairman Michael Chaney AO acknowledged Mr Gurner's tenure, stating: “Through his financial acumen, integrity and leadership, Ryan has made a significant contribution to Northern Star's growth and success over his eleven years with the Company, a period marked by substantial value creation.”

Northern Star's Board thanked Mr Gurner for his dedicated service.
