NOVONIX and ACP Technologies Partner on Anode Materials

NOVONIX Limited signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding with ACP Technologies, LLC to develop a domestic supply chain for battery-grade anode materials in North America.

Under the partnership, the companies will pursue projects focused on synthetic graphite anode active material, mass production, and proprietary technology. NOVONIX operates the Riverside facility in Chattanooga, Tennessee, as its mass production plant for synthetic graphite anode materials. In April 2026, the U.S. Government certified the Riverside project in connection with US$103 million in tax credits allocated under the Section 48C Advanced Energy Project Credit Program.

The collaboration enables NOVONIX to expand its product portfolio into domestic pitch-coated synthetic graphite materials targeting military drones and fast-charging capabilities. Materials from the partnership will support process validation and customer sampling.

NOVONIX and ACP Technologies intend to negotiate definitive agreements, though no final terms or timetables are guaranteed.
