NOVONIX Limited has secured inclusion for its Riverside synthetic graphite manufacturing project in a joint South Korea-U.S. infrastructure initiative designed to connect major U.S. industrial sites with Korean strategic partners, construction firms, and financial institutions.

The project was selected among approximately ten U.S. developments identified through high-level government discussions. The Republic of Korea’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Korea Overseas Infrastructure & Urban Development Corporation introduced the selected projects to Korean industry participants during a dedicated seminar in Seoul on August 27.

The initiative aims to convert government-to-government cooperation into commercial opportunities, with the Korean government supporting participants through coordinated partnerships and strategic financial support capabilities.

NOVONIX is advancing the Riverside facility as part of its North American battery materials supply chain strategy. The facility has previously secured binding offtake agreements, including a contract with PowerCo SE for a minimum of 32,000 tonnes of synthetic graphite, while commercial mass production of anode material for Panasonic Energy at the plant is expected to begin in the second half of 2027.
