NovaRed Outlines 42-Hectare Chargeability Target at Wilmac Copper-Gold Project
NovaRed Mining Inc. has identified a large chargeability target exceeding 25 milliseconds across approximately 42 hectares at a depth of 300 metres at the Lamont grid within its Wilmac Copper-Gold Project in British Columbia.
The expanded evaluation of three-dimensional induced polarization and audio-magnetotelluric data also identified a buried resistive body with a median top depth of 293 metres, consistent with the interpretation of an underlying intrusive complex. At shallower depths, the chargeability response appears as several parallel, northwest-trending bodies extending 1.5 to 2 kilometres that merge with depth into a larger chargeable mass positioned above the interpreted intrusive complex.
The Wilmac project is located approximately 10 kilometres west of Hudbay Minerals Inc.’s producing Copper Mountain Mine in the Quesnel porphyry belt. Within the surrounding district, Kodiak Copper Corp. reported on August 12, 2026, that it identified a large chargeability anomaly adjacent to the South deposit at its MPD copper-gold project and expanded its diamond drill program to 16,500 metres.
Because induced polarization chargeability cannot distinguish copper-bearing sulphides from barren sulphides such as pyrite, drilling will be required to determine the geological source and metal content of the anomalies. No mineral resources or mineral reserves have been identified on the project.
NovaRed is advancing the acquisition of a drill permit to support an initial diamond drill program at the Wilmac project slated for the fall of 2026, alongside a proposed North Lamont geophysical program designed to determine how much farther the open system extends.
