NRED Advances Eagle Target as Priority Deep Drill Location at Wilmac

An integrated review of historical drilling, re-sampled core, and geophysical modelling has advanced the Eagle target as a priority deep drill location at the Wilmac Copper-Gold Project in British Columbia.
NRED Intelligent Mining Inc. reported that historical drilling across the property stopped well above the strongest modelled geophysical anomalies. At the Eagle target, 2014 diamond drill hole WS14-004 ended at approximately 133 metres depth, whereas modelled chargeability peaks occur between 300 and 450 metres depth. Re-logging of historical core showed that copper values and alteration strengthened toward the bottom of the holes, including an interval in hole WS14-002 averaging 381 ppm copper over 26.83 metres.
Independent magnetic interpretations and airborne modelling support the deeper target range, placing susceptible bodies near 400 metres depth. In addition, magnetic susceptibility measurements collected from historical core during a recent program indicated that median susceptibility fell by roughly three times in intervals containing more than 0.5% sulphur, providing property-specific evidence that sulphidation destroys magnetite within the system.
“Eagle gives us a clear target and a clear test,” said Brian Goss, Chief Executive Officer of NRED. “The previous drilling stopped well above the strongest modelled target, while copper, alteration and geophysical evidence point deeper. Rather than speculate, our objective is simple: drill deeper and test the target.” — Brian Goss, Chief Executive Officer
The 16,078-hectare Wilmac project is located southwest of Princeton and approximately 10 kilometres west of Hudbay Minerals Inc.’s producing Copper Mountain Mine within the Quesnel porphyry belt. The property is held under two option agreements that are currently not in good standing following missed cash and exploration expenditure payments due around August 31 and September 1, 2026. The optionors have not issued a notice of termination.
During July and August 2026, the company completed extensive geophysical reprocessing, soil classifications, and trench sampling across the project to develop its porphyry exploration model. Subject to confirming that the historical hole remains open and accessible and obtaining necessary financing, NRED proposes to deepen the existing hole by approximately 250 metres during the 2027 field season at the earliest.
