NV Gold Corporation has initiated a 5,000-metre reverse circulation drill program at its Slumber gold project in Humboldt County, Nevada. The company has also completed a mining and exploration lease for approximately 1,500 acres of fee land, a move intended to consolidate its footprint and potentially connect two previously reported gold zones.

The newly acquired lease area sits directly between and adjacent to the project’s existing drilling targets at Awakening in the north and Slumber in the south. This expansion increases the total drilling area to nearly 3 kilometres in length and up to 1 kilometre in width.

The drill program will consist of 20 to 30 holes, with depths ranging from 175 to 375 metres. The company has retained Elko-based Premier Drilling to carry out the work, which is designed to test for new gold mineralization. These targets were identified by layering surface sampling and mapping data over results from prior exploration campaigns, which previously encountered mineralized thicknesses of up to 175 metres.

On the market, the company's shares are currently trading at $0.24, up 20.00% today.

Operational activity is scheduled to start during the first week of September 2026, with the full program expected to span a period of six to eight weeks. The technical program is being managed under the guidance of consulting economic geologist Jesse D. Wellman.

The Slumber project is characterized by volcanic-hosted epithermal gold and silver mineralization situated within a structural corridor along the southern Jackson Mountains. The geology is defined by graben-like structures that control silicification and quartz veining. Most of the gold identified to date occurs within extensively oxidized hematite breccias and silicified lithic tuff zones.

Additionally, previous exploration has encountered displaced, gold-bearing carbonate rock in low-angle structures, which the company indicates suggests further potential within the broader property. The Slumber project now comprises 120 lode mining claims alongside the newly secured 1,500-acre fee land lease. The current drilling effort represents a significant step in the company’s 2026 exploration schedule, aimed at testing the continuity of the gold system across the expanded land package.
