OceanaGold Generates $130 Million in Free Cash Flow During Second Quarter

OceanaGold Corporation produced 138,800 ounces of gold and 2,700 tonnes of copper during the second quarter of 2026, generating $130 million in free cash flow. The company finished the period with $655 million in cash and no debt, while also returning $78 million to shareholders through dividends and share buybacks. Shares rose 6.80% on August 5, 2026, closing at $37.67.

Management expects gold production to increase and all-in sustaining costs to decrease across the second half of 2026, keeping the company on track to achieve its full-year guidance.

The Waihi North Project remains a key focus, with decline development to the Wharekirauponga orebody progressing on schedule and nearing 200 metres of advancement. Looking ahead, the company expects to commission the project's water treatment plant by the end of the third quarter of 2026. Additionally, early works activities on TSF 3 are scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter.

Financial performance during the quarter included revenue of $647 million at an average realized gold price of $4,433 per ounce, with gold sales weighted toward the end of the period as production increased at the Haile operation. The company recorded a net profit of $222 million and an adjusted EBITDA margin of 61%.

Shareholders are set to receive a dividend of $0.09 per share, payable on September 18, 2026, to those of record on August 19, 2026. During the first half of 2026, the company completed $134 million in share repurchases, part of an approved $350 million buyback program for the year. The company recently renewed its Normal Course Issuer Bid for another 12 months.
