OD6 Metals Expands Mammoth Fluorspar Footprint by Over 50%
OD6 Metals Limited has expanded the interpreted target footprint at the Mammoth prospect by more than 50% to over 14,000 square metres following revised mapping and sampling at the Quinn Fluorspar Project in Nevada, USA.
The work defines a large breccia and stockwork mineralised system extending over a 300-metre strike extent and up to approximately 100 metres across. Channel sampling across exposed benches returned broad intervals of calcium fluoride, highlighted by an intercept of 44 metres at 29% CaF2 with a maximum assay of 58.4% CaF2 at the Middle Bench. Additional rock chip sampling returned individual grades of up to 78.3% CaF2.
“The key takeaway from these latest results is scale. Detailed mapping and sampling have increased the interpreted Mammoth target footprint by more than 50%, from approximately 9,000m² to >14,000m², with a mineralised breccia and stockwork system extending for more than 300 metres and remaining open beneath cover.” — Brett Hazelden, Managing Director
OD6 Metals consolidated 100% ownership of 226 mining claims covering approximately 1,890 hectares at the project through its wholly owned subsidiary U.S. Fluorspar LLC. The Quinn project includes multiple known high-grade fluorspar prospects, including the Horseshoe and Big Jim deposits, alongside the Mammoth target.
The mineralised system remains open to the east beneath talus cover and to the north beneath a silicified limestone cap. OD6 Metals plans to conduct drilling at the Mammoth prospect to test the geometry, depth extent, grade continuity, and scale of the mineralised system. The company is also advancing metallurgical and ore-sorting testwork to assess potential processing pathways for Metspar and Acidspar products at the Quinn project.
