Omineca Mining and Metals Ltd. has intersected high-grade gold mineralization at its Wingdam project in British Columbia, returning 4.84 g/t gold over 1.07 meters in drill hole WD25-41. A second hole, WD25-42, intersected 1.25 g/t gold over 2.0 meters at greater depth.

These drill results, which target a lode source for the area’s known paleoplacer gold, come from a 3,091.9-meter program consisting of six diamond drill holes. The gold was identified within amygdaloidal basalt associated with the Slide Mountain Terrane, near the Eureka Thrust Fault.

The company stated that the discovery validates its exploration thesis that the source of the placer gold found beneath Lightning Creek lies downstream to the west of the existing underground placer workings. The identified lode zone is positioned at depths equivalent to or below these workings.

“165 years after placer gold was first discovered in the Lightning Creek valley, Omineca has now discovered a lode source that can explain the incidence of autochthonous (close distance from source) placer gold in the rich paleoplacer deposit.”

Omineca Mining and Metals is currently trading at $0.07, up 40.00% today.

Following these results, the company plans to increase its investigation of hydrothermal gold mineralization along the Eureka Thrust Fault. Future exploration milestones include the finalization and release of details regarding the expanded footprint of this hard rock discovery. Additionally, the company intends to re-initiate underground paleoplacer gold recovery at its Fraser Canyon Project later in 2026.
