Ongwe Minerals Inc. has commenced its maiden drilling campaign at the newly discovered Nguni gold prospect within the Omatjete Gold Project in Namibia.

The program utilizes two drill rigs deployed across the prospect, which was discovered in May 2026. A diamond drill rig is focusing on an initial plan of 18 holes totalling 3,500 metres to test the highest-grade portions of the surface anomaly. Meanwhile, a second reverse circulation rig is testing strike extensions with 13 holes planned for 1,500 metres.

Infill sampling has refined the target area, outlining a 6-kilometre strike length compared to the 5-kilometre footprint identified in June 2026. Sampling results now include 50 soil samples returning values above 300 parts per billion gold, peaking at 1,310 parts per billion.

The Omatjete project serves as a flagship asset for Ongwe Minerals. The exploration area sits within the Okondeka Fault Zone, which also hosts Wia Gold Limited's Kokoseb project, where Wia Gold reported an updated Mineral Resource Estimate of 3.78 Moz Au in August 2026.

In addition to the work at Nguni, Ongwe Minerals has finalized a diamond step-out program at the Manga Gold Prospect, located 17 kilometres west of Nguni. That program comprises 5 holes for 1,000 metres and is scheduled for Q4 2026 to test the eastern extension of the bedrock anomaly.

Field teams are logging core and analysing initial results to guide ongoing exploration across the broader Omatjete package.
