Onyx Gold Corp. (ONYX) has released results from 17 drill holes at its 100%-owned Munro-Croesus project in Ontario, demonstrating the continued expansion of the Argus Gold System. The company reports that its latest drilling has extended the Argus North zone to a vertical depth of more than 700 metres, while simultaneously identifying a new area of gold mineralization approximately 250 metres northeast of the Argus Main zone. This new discovery, located along the projected Argus Fault corridor, was confirmed through first-pass drilling that intersected 2.6 g/t gold over 7.3 metres, including a higher-grade section of 8.8 g/t gold over 1.5 metres.

At Argus North, the company recorded significant results including 3.5 g/t gold over 28.1 metres, which contained a higher-grade interval of 5.3 g/t gold over 17.8 metres. These results are particularly notable for their depth; previous updates from June 2026 had defined the Argus system to 500 metres, marking a material increase in vertical extent with the current intersection at 716 metres. The zone remains open at depth and along strike, suggesting further potential as exploration continues across the project’s 1.4-kilometre strike length.

The Argus Main zone also demonstrated growth, with three deeper holes returning broad gold intercepts. One hole, MC26-324, intersected 1.0 g/t gold over 93.0 metres, including 2.0 g/t gold over 20.0 metres. Importantly, this hole finished in mineralized rock, returning 19.3 g/t gold over 0.7 metres in its final four metres, which indicates that the system remains open and active at depth. The company plans to follow up on these specific findings with further drilling to test the potential for additional mineralization below the current intercepts.

"Today's results demonstrate that both Argus North and Argus Main continue to grow with depth while maintaining the broad, continuous style of mineralization that has become characteristic of the system."

Onyx Gold is currently operating four diamond drill rigs at the site as part of a significant exploration campaign. To date, the company has completed 188 drill holes, accounting for approximately 75,000 metres of a planned 110,000-metre program. With roughly 35,000 metres of drilling remaining, the company is on track to wrap up this expanded exploration effort by the end of 2026. Supported by approximately $18 million in cash, management remains focused on the systematic testing of the Argus Fault corridor, where the combination of favorable volcanic host rocks and structural preparation continues to guide their exploration targets. The ongoing work serves to refine the geological model of the Argus system, which has consistently shown both high-grade plunging shoots and broader, lower-grade zones of mineralization.
