Ordell Minerals Launches 14,000m Drill Program at Barimaia

Ordell Minerals Limited has launched a major 14,000m resource definition and exploration drilling program at its flagship Barimaia Gold Project in Western Australia, lifting total drilling completed between May and September 2026 to approximately 20,000m.
The expanded schedule at the project near Mount Magnet comprises about 10,000m of in-fill reverse circulation drilling at the McNabs East Main Zone and Northern Zone to support a maiden Mineral Resource Estimate targeted for the fourth quarter of 2026. This is backed by roughly 4,000m of air-core drilling aimed at discovering new felsic intrusions along the mineralised corridor, building on roughly 6,000m completed since May.
Recent extensional drilling at the McNabs East Main Zone returned significant gold intersections down-dip and down-plunge to the east, including 9.7m at 1.94g/t gold from 203.2m in hole 26BADD042 and 6.5m at 3.14g/t gold from 213m in hole 26BADD036. Shallow, wide-spaced drilling at The Furnace target over 900m of strike returned 4m at 2.47g/t gold from 82m in hole 26BARC311.
“We are entering a very active period at Barimaia, with approximately 14,000m of new drilling underway during August and September. Together with the ~6,000m completed since May, this will see us complete around 20,000m of drilling over a five-month period as we accelerate both the resource definition and exploration programs.” — Michael Fowler, Managing Director
“Given our growing confidence in the continuity and robustness of the mineralisation at McNabs East within the Main Zone and Northern Zone, our immediate priority now is to complete the in-fill drilling required to deliver a maiden Mineral Resource Estimate in the December 2026 Quarter. This will, in turn, provide us with the foundation to assess the potential for a near-term development opportunity at Barimaia.” — Michael Fowler, Managing Director
Following the maiden Mineral Resource Estimate, mining studies are planned to assess the near-term development opportunity at Barimaia. In the surrounding district, nearby gold developer Rox Resources reported high-grade underground diamond drill intercepts including 10.40m at 2.65g/t gold at its Youanmi Gold Mine in August 2026.
