Oreterra Metals Corp. has expanded its 100% owned Kinkaid copper-gold-silver project in Nevada’s Walker Lane trend by staking 43 new claims over a newly identified porphyry target.

The land expansion covers the KJ Porphyry target, where field crews identified copper-bearing mineralization in outcrop over an approximately one-by-one kilometre area previously sitting outside the company's holdings. Ground follow-up to a heli-borne magnetic and radiometric survey completed in May 2026 outlined a prominent 1.3 by 0.9 kilometre potassic anomaly with a coincident magnetic low over the KJ area, reflecting alteration above an intrusive centre.

Numerous copper prospects have been located across a 600-metre-wide zone within the target area. Outcrop sampling of 18 chip and grab samples returned assays ranging from 0.28% to 5.79% copper, alongside four samples yielding between 0.9 and 7.6 grams per tonne gold. Crews also observed apparent porphyry-style B-veins with centrelines of chrysocolla and other secondary copper minerals in a brecciated outcrop.

“The discovery at the KJ site of impressive copper-gold showings and mineralized veins (see Photo 1) so close to zones of an alteration assemblage often found around porphyry systems greatly increases the odds that we are dealing with a new porphyry system,” stated John Biczok, P.Geo., VP Exploration for Oreterra. “It also heightens the odds that porphyry systems will be found nearby at the Bismark Hill-Southern Barite prospect and the other targets on the Kinkaid claim block. We are looking forward to the upcoming IP-MT survey to test these various targets for sulphide mineralization at depth and, potentially, to provide us with drill-ready targets.”

Oreterra plans to complete approximately 13 line-kilometres of Induced Polarization and magnetotelluric geophysical surveys over the KJ target and other porphyry and epithermal targets later in 2026. The project is expected to reach drill-ready status by the end of the year, subject to Bureau of Land Management permitting, while the company advances its broader exploration portfolio including ongoing drilling at the Trek South prospect in British Columbia's Golden Triangle.
