Oreterra Metals Corp. has concluded its inaugural Phase 1 drill program at the Trek South porphyry copper-gold prospect in British Columbia’s Golden Triangle, completing 4,500 metres across 13 diamond drill holes.

The campaign tested two distinct zones, with 11 holes sunk into the Trek South A Zone and two holes drilled at the Trek South Toe Zone. Central holes at the A Zone delivered multi-hundred-metre intercepts of strong porphyry-style alteration accompanied by visual copper minerals including bornite, chalcocite, chalcopyrite, malachite, and chrysocolla. The drilling is believed to sit directly above an underlying source intrusion, which will form a primary target for subsequent exploration. Meanwhile, first-ever drilling at the Toe Zone returned multi-metre intersections of strong chalcopyrite mineralization.

Field crews also identified a new area of intensely altered boulders bearing abundant visible copper mineralization east of the local glacier, designated the Trek South C Zone. Planning to drill this zone in 2027 is underway. Along with the B Zone identified on the southwest side of the glacier in August 2025, alteration and copper mineralization are now documented around nearly the entire one-square-kilometre perimeter of the glacial basin.

An orderly camp demobilization is underway ahead of deteriorating weather conditions. Key infrastructure, including tent pads, materials, and drill pads, is being left in place to support an earlier start and reduced logistics costs for the 2027 field season, with planning for Phase 2 already underway.

Assay results from the 13 completed holes are anticipated later in the fall and will be used to guide the Phase 2 program.
