Oreterra Metals Corp. (OTMC) has officially commenced construction of a 30-person fly-in camp at its Trek South porphyry copper-gold prospect. Located in British Columbia’s Golden Triangle, the site is positioned to support the company’s maiden drill campaign. The camp, which is expected to be fully operational by the end of July 2026, will house geological and geophysical crews alongside the teams required for two active core drills.

This exploration effort targets a 1.6-kilometre wide zone of porphyry-style alteration and coincident magnetic anomalies newly exposed by recent glacial retreat. The company has structured its drilling in two stages, beginning with an initial 5,000-metre phase consisting of eight widely spaced angled core holes. A potential second phase, including an additional 4,600 metres of drilling, remains contingent upon the success of this initial program.

The exploration schedule is designed to capitalize on the region’s optimal weather window during August and early September. While current environmental and archaeological surveys have set the operational timeline for this summer, the company anticipates future programs could commence as early as mid-June once site-clearing requirements are fulfilled.

With the necessary financial resources and project plans in place, the company is preparing to initiate its maiden drilling in early August. Investors should look for the first batch of results from the initial 5,000-metre phase to follow the conclusion of that drilling, providing the first substantive data on the scale and potential of the prospect as the team works to define the underlying mineralized system.
