Orezone Gold Corporation (TSX: ORE) has released its production results for the second quarter of 2026, marking its first full period operating as a multi-mine producer following the recent acquisition of the Casa Berardi gold mine in Quebec. The company reported a total consolidated production of 58,566 ounces of gold for the quarter. Management confirmed that both the Bomboré mine and the newly added operation are performing in line with expectations.

"The second quarter marked Orezone's first full quarter as a multi-mine producer following the acquisition of Casa Berardi, with both operations performing in line with our expectations." — Patrick Downey, President and CEO

At the Bomboré operation, processing performance remained steady, with the plant achieving throughput rates above nameplate design. While production for the first half of the year reached 75,626 ounces, the company anticipates a stronger performance in the second half of 2026. This outlook is supported by improved access to higher-grade hard rock ore from the P17 pit, which is expected to drive output as mining activities advance through the remainder of the year.

The Casa Berardi mine contributed 20,503 ounces of gold during the second quarter. The site has focused on capital investment, including underground development, expanded definition drilling, and the mobilization of new equipment to support future production growth. While the current mine sequence points to a softer third quarter, management expects performance to strengthen by the fourth quarter as higher-grade direct feed ore becomes available from the F160 pit.

Orezone recently implemented a temporary, voluntary suspension of operations at Casa Berardi due to a wildfire located approximately twelve kilometers southwest of the mine. The company expects the suspension to be lifted shortly as suppression efforts continue. Crucially, this event is not expected to impact the company’s full-year production guidance.

Investors looking for further operational and financial detail should note that the company is scheduled to release its second quarter 2026 financial results after the market close on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. The report will provide a clearer picture of the financial integration of the two mines. Orezone intends to continue leveraging the established resource base and existing infrastructure at Casa Berardi to support its long-term strategy of higher underground throughput. The company remains committed to its existing guidance targets across both its Canadian and West African operations as it navigates the current mine sequencing plans.
