Orogen Acquires Two Peaks Copper-Silver Project in Arizona
Orogen Royalties has acquired the Two Peaks project in southeastern Arizona, securing an eight-square-kilometre package of BLM claims targeting lead-zinc-silver-manganese carbonate replacement (CRD) and copper skarn mineralisation. The company currently holds the project free of any underlying encumbrances and is actively marketing the asset for future option or sale to prospective joint venture partners.
The project is situated within the Laramide porphyry copper belt, approximately eight kilometres west of Highway 90 near the communities of Whetstone and Benson. Orogen’s technical assessment centres on an intrusive granodiorite stock surrounded by a thick sequence of Paleozoic carbonate rocks, which are considered structurally analogous to the stratigraphy hosting massive mineralisation at the Hermosa deposit 45 kilometres to the southwest.
Geological mapping has identified a marble front extending at least one kilometre east of the stock. Within this area, a 200-metre-wide structural corridor hosts local sub-epithermal quartz-galena-sphalerite veins and breccia development. Reconnaissance grab sampling within these bleached marble zones returned grades of up to 5.35% lead, 10.8 grams per tonne silver, and 1050 parts per million manganese. Soil sampling has further delineated anomalous zinc-lead-silver concentrations extending up to two kilometres outboard of the intrusive centre, which the company interprets as the potential distal surface expression of a deeper, concealed CRD system.
Orogen utilised advanced diagnostic datasets to delineate the targets.
“The generation of Two Peaks is the result of recently released geological data that includes high-resolution airborne hyperspectral and magnetic surveys,”
— Laurence Pryer, VP Exploration
The company further refined the target by applying specific geochemical indicators to the project’s alteration zones.
“We further advanced Two Peaks with mapping and sampling programs and utilizing frontier geoscience including Green Rock geochemistry, a study designed to rapidly assess underexplored propylitic alteration zones for prospectivity.”
— Laurence Pryer, VP Exploration
Despite its location within an established copper belt, Two Peaks has never been subjected to modern geophysical surveys or exploration drilling. The property is currently available for potential partners to evaluate. Orogen intends to showcase the project, alongside its broader pipeline of new exploration assets, during its third annual Project Generator Day, which is scheduled to take place via webinar on September 16, 2026.
Shares in Orogen are currently trading on the TSXV and are up 2.30% during the August 5, 2026, session.
