Orogen Royalties Secures Royalty on Haldane Silver Project
Orogen Royalties Inc. has acquired an uncapped 2 percent net smelter return royalty with no buy-downs on the Haldane silver project in the Yukon Territory, Canada, from Silver North Resources Ltd.

The agreement gives Orogen practical exposure to an 86-square-kilometre land package situated on the western extension of the Keno Hill Quartzite formation and the namesake mine operated by Hecla Mining Company. Under the acquisition terms, Orogen paid C$500,000 on closing, with subsequent consideration structured as 30 percent of future royalty revenue capped at C$1.5 million, followed by 15 percent of future royalty revenue capped at C$1 million.
“Keno Hill is one of the highest-grade silver districts in the world with over 35 historical mine sites producing approximately 217 million ounces of silver. The Haldane royalty acquisition was based on the strong geological potential of the project backed by solid operatorship at Silver North, and we are excited to be part of this emerging silver discovery,” said Paddy Nicol, CEO of Orogen. “Silver North is a well financed and technically driven company with sufficient funding to explore Haldane over 2026 and 2027. We look forward to exploration results as they materialize.” — Paddy Nicol, CEO
Field activity across the project is active, with Silver North Resources Ltd. conducting a two-year, two-rig drill program targeting up to 14,000 metres through 2026 and 2027. Approximately 2,550 metres of drilling across ten holes have been completed at the Main Fault structure, with assay results currently pending.
The transaction adds to Orogen’s portfolio of royalties, which includes a 2.0 percent net smelter return royalty on the Ermitaño gold and silver mine in Sonora, Mexico, operated by First Majestic Silver Corp.
