Pacific Ridge Starts Drilling at RDP Copper-Gold Project
Pacific Ridge Exploration Ltd. has commenced a 3,000-metre drill program at the RDP copper-gold project in British Columbia’s Toodoggone Mining District.
The 2026 exploration campaign at the Day target follows a 2025 drill program that planned a minimum of 1,500 metres, marking a larger planned meterage for this season. Last year’s drilling intersected 112.2 metres of 1.35% copper equivalent, or 2.02 grams per tonne gold equivalent, within a broader interval of 405.0 metres grading 0.71% copper equivalent in drill hole RDP-25-011.
This season's drilling will test the interpreted porphyry centre located between the eastern and western magnetic lobes and further define the western magnetic lobe discovery. Prior to drilling, Pacific Ridge completed extensive geophysical surveys over the target area, including 1,057 line-kilometres of high-resolution magnetics, 283 line-kilometres of magnetotellurics, and 9 line-kilometres of ground induced polarization geophysics.
No metallurgical recovery testing has been conducted on RDP mineralization to date. The company utilizes estimated recoveries of 80% for copper, 60% for gold, and 60% for silver in its metal equivalent calculations based on commodity prices of US$4.60 per pound for copper, US$2,600 per ounce for gold, and US$30.00 per ounce for silver.
Regional activity in the district is also underway, highlighted by Metal Energy Corp. when it commenced an inaugural drill program of over 6,000 metres at its NIV copper-gold project in July 2026.
Shares of Pacific Ridge are currently trading at $0.20, up 2.56%.
