Patagonia Lithium Identifies 10 New Rare Earth Targets in Brazil Using AI Geophysics

Patagonia Lithium has identified 10 new rare earth element targets at its Goiás concessions in Brazil using a deterministic geophysics and artificial intelligence system called Logos.

The company deployed the Logos system to target rare earth-bearing ionic clays on concessions 860164 and 860165. The deterministic model integrates open geophysical datasets, including gravity, magnetics, topography and radiometrics, alongside an AI screening layer.

The analysis returned 10 new targets located within single-digit kilometres of previous company sampling. The top five new targets received prospectivity scores between 0.92 and 0.89 and sit within the predicted fenite and metasomatic halo of the Catalão carbonatite complex.

Patagonia acquired airborne magnetic geophysical data for its Goiás concessions in March 2024 to explore for niobium and rare earth-bearing ionic clays.

The company plans to progress to augur sampling at its Goiás concessions to identify REE ionic clays, and selected the top five new targets for priority ground-truthing and soil/rock-chip sampling. A ground magnetics survey will also be completed after sampling to validate structure and geology.
