Pecoy Copper Identifies Large Untested Northwest Target At Pecoy
Pecoy Copper Corp. has released an updated integrated geophysical interpretation for its 100%-owned Pecoy project in southern Peru, identifying four principal magnetotelluric target areas that include a large, untested northwest anomaly.
The interpretation integrates a newly completed Spartan magnetotelluric survey with three-dimensional resistivity modeling, recent and historical drilling data, induced polarization chargeability, and magnetics. The work highlights four distinct target zones, designated MTP-01 through MTP-04, across and beyond the currently drilled mineralized footprint.

The primary focus is MTP-01, an untested northwest target measuring approximately 1.2 km wide and 1.0 km in vertical extent within the three-dimensional resistivity model, featuring coincident chargeability and magnetic responses. While historical holes established the broader MTP-02 copper-molybdenum domain to the southeast, recent drilling has provided a mineralized vector toward the main MTP-01 anomaly.
Among these, hole PEC26-067 returned 209.0 m grading 0.40% copper from 15.0 m, including higher-grade intervals of 42.3 m grading 1.01% copper and 11.1 m grading 1.90% copper. The hole also intersected a separate 296.0 m interval grading 0.24% copper and 0.009% molybdenum below the historical pit shell to the end of the hole. Pecoy Copper noted that while PEC26-067 sampled peripheral hydrothermal architecture, it did not directly test the interpreted MTP-01 core.

The geophysical program was completed by Quantec Geoscience Perú S.A.C. using 85 sites across an area of approximately 3.2 km by 3.4 km. The resulting resistivity model demonstrated that known mineralization exhibits varying geophysical expressions, with MTP-03 at the South Breccia zone corresponding to strong low resistivity, while the MTP-02 domain associates with more moderate resistivity.
Pecoy Copper is preparing additional drill pads to systematically test the MTP-01 target across multiple sections and elevations using a fourth diamond drill rig allocated specifically to the Northwest program. The ongoing evaluation forms part of the company's fully funded 2026 exploration campaign budgeted for approximately 35,000 metres of diamond drilling.
