Perpetua Resources Advances Stibnite Construction And 10,000-Meter Drill Program

Perpetua Resources Corp. has advanced construction and exploration at the Stibnite Gold Project in central Idaho, transitioning from initial ground-breaking in October 2025 to active site development and expanded drilling.
The company has commenced European fabrication of dual autoclave vessels and delivered approximately half of the ATCO-supplied workforce housing units to the site, with modular units staging in Cascade. On-site preparation also includes initial construction of the Administrative Pad and the Burntlog Route, which the U.S. Forest Service designated as the environmentally preferred access route under the National Environmental Policy Act.
Exploration drilling is operating with four rigs and has completed approximately 5,800 meters of the planned 10,000-meter 2026 program. Drilling within the Clark Tunnel Fault Zone returned near-surface intercepts including 6.4 meters grading 16.2 g/t gold and 1.7% antimony from surface, alongside a new gold-tungsten discovery returning 21.3 meters of 3.2 g/t gold and 0.9% tungsten from a 24-meter depth.
“We continue to see tangible progress at Stibnite,” said Jon Cherry, President and CEO of Perpetua Resources. “From the arrival of new infrastructure on site and advancements in equipment fabrication to exciting drilling results, this update demonstrates the momentum, focus, and disciplined execution our team is bringing to the Project.” — Jon Cherry, President and CEO of Perpetua Resources
The construction update follows an August 18, 2026, ruling by the U.S. District Court of Idaho affirming federal agency approvals for the project. While the court rejected plaintiffs' challenges under environmental laws, it remanded Incidental Take Statements back to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to clarify monitoring measures without altering no-jeopardy findings. Plaintiffs have filed an appeal against the court's decision.
Financing discussions continue alongside site activities. In March 2026, the Export-Import Bank of the United States agreed to notify Congress of a proposed $2.7 billion senior secured long-term loan to support project development, with the U.S. EXIM Board expected to vote on final approval.
Project development advances against a backdrop of broader regional momentum in central Idaho, including ongoing permitting and infrastructure initiatives across the surrounding mineral district.
