Phoenix Metals Corp. has received amended Exploration Permit MX-5-836 from the British Columbia Ministry of Mining and Critical Minerals for the Greenwood project in south-central British Columbia, clearing the way for an expanded drilling campaign across its core mineral targets.

Following receipt of the permit, Phoenix awarded a 51,500-metre drill contract to accelerate exploration across priority zones within the Phoenix Target Area, including Phoenix South, JD/Golden Crown, Phoenix Deep and Blue Bell. Four additional drill rigs are currently en route to the site to support the ramp-up.

The newly permitted campaign represents a significant scale-up from earlier operations. Earlier project activities were confined to a single drill rig testing the Lexington target 15 km south of the historic Phoenix pit, whereas the newly permitted 51,500-metre campaign will systematically scale operations across multiple key zones.

The active drill program is designed to systematically test for near-surface bulk-tonnage copper, gold and silver mineralization at Lexington, Phoenix South, JD, Golden Crown, Phoenix Deep and Blue Bell. In addition, the work will investigate the potential of known deeper, high-grade structures and feeder systems that have historically driven past copper-gold production and present-day in situ resources throughout the district.
