Pilbara Gold Limited has declared its landmark Mineral Rights Agreement with PLS Group Limited at the 2.1-million-ounce Mt York Gold Project in Western Australia unconditional after satisfying all conditions precedent.

The arrangement gives Pilbara Gold ownership of the mineral rights, excluding lithium and tantalum, across three exploration licences and one application covering 367 square kilometres of neighbouring greenstone geology.

The agreement officially transfers control of a 1,500-metre extension to the Main Hill deposit, allowing the company to explore the tenure for gold and base metals once activities are authorised by PLS Group. Early access granted during the initial signing phase enabled drilling over the area, returning intervals including 9 metres at 3.92 g/t gold from 97 metres, 16 metres at 2.60 g/t gold from 157 metres, and 8 metres at 3.81 g/t gold from 128 metres.

“The area subject to the MRA is key to our 2.1Moz Mt York Gold Project, and I again extend my gratitude to all members of the PLS and PGL teams for working through satisfaction of the conditions precedent. This allows PGL to officially take ownership of the mineral rights (excluding lithium and tantalum) to 367sqkm of fertile ground neighbouring Mt York and add to our existing portfolio including the Pincunah Project that we acquired from Trek Metals earlier this year. This ground has not been systematically explored for gold despite its similar geology to Mt York.

We've already demonstrated that the necessity of the MRA, having extended gold mineralisation by 1,500m at the Mt York Gold Deposit with solid drill results. Our 2026 drilling campaign aims to extend gold resources at depth and along-strike at Main Hill Extension and to increase the resources beyond 2.1Moz.”

— Dr Peter Turner, Managing Director

Pilbara Gold is continuing an ongoing 50,000-metre drilling program across the deposit to target resource growth at depth and along-strike.

The company will also launch a large airborne electro-magnetic survey over the Greater Mt York region to define fresh exploration targets across the prospective geology, alongside ongoing work to progress the project pre-feasibility study.
