Pirate Gold Hits 30.6 g/t Gold and Identifies New Caribou Fault Structure at Moosehead
Pirate Gold Corp. has intersected high-grade gold mineralization in shallow drilling along the southern extension of the Eastern Trend at the Moosehead zone, returning 30.6 g/t gold over 1.35 metres, including 89.7 g/t gold over 0.40 metres in hole PGC-26-112.
Drilling at the Western Trend down plunge of surface vein exposures yielded 4.25 g/t gold over 6.65 metres, including 40.8 g/t gold over 0.50 metres in hole PGC-26-087. The company also identified a new parallel gold-bearing structure designated as the Caribou Fault Zone, located approximately 150 metres west of the Western Trend. Nineteen shallow holes tested the Caribou structure over 400 metres of strike, with eight holes returning significant gold grades, including 2.88 g/t gold over 2.45 metres in hole PGC-26-100, which featured an internal interval of 4.63 g/t gold over 0.90 metres.

Additionally, ongoing work at the Rib Vein linkage structure has traced the zone over 200 metres of strike length and to depths of 90 metres, connecting the Eastern and Western Trend zones with intercepts including 6.15 g/t gold over 0.55 metres in hole PGC-26-080.
“The Moosehead zone comprises a broad network of faults and veins which to date have been traced along over 1500m of strike length and to depths exceeding 200m in the case of the Eastern Trend Fault. The discovery of the Caribou Fault was no surprise as we always believed that other parallel structures should exist here. The recent shallow drilling has shown that we have a fertile structure that is continuous along at least 400m and most importantly that it can host high-grade gold mineralization. I believe that further structural analysis and exploration of this fault in context with the more heavily explored Eastern and Western Fault Zones can lead us to identify additional high-grade mineralization along the structure which remains open along strike and at depth”

Pirate Gold holds a 100%-owned interest in the Treasure Island Project, which spans a property covering more than 90 kilometres of strike along the Valentine Lake Fault Zone in central Newfoundland. As part of its broader district exploration and operational development, the company expanded its land position near the project by staking one new claim in June 2026. The technical work at Moosehead continues to refine the structural model of the orogenic fault network as exploration proceeds across the property's multiple mineralised trends.
