Pivotal Metals Secures Bambino Option To Expand Belleterre Cu-Ni-PGM Footprint
Pivotal Metals Limited has entered into an option agreement to acquire a 100% interest in the Bambino Project, expanding its holdings across the Belleterre-Angliers Greenstone Belt in Québec, Canada.
Under the terms, Pivotal can secure the project through cash payments totaling C$125,000, the issuance of 9,615,000 shares, and $500,000 in exploration expenditures over three years. An initial payment of C$12,500 and 1,923,000 shares is due within five days, with remaining shares subject to shareholder approval across three annual milestones. Upon exercise, vendors retain a 2.0% Net Smelter Return royalty, with Pivotal holding the right to buy back 1% for C$1,000,000 cash, alongside milestone payments of C$500,000 at a decision to mine and C$1,000,000 at commercial production.
The 57-claim, 3,220-hectare property surrounds Pivotal’s existing Delphi-Patry and Zullo occurrences and consolidates the six-kilometre Midrim-Zullo trend, a system hosting high-grade copper, nickel, and platinum group metal occurrences. Historical drilling includes 17.5 metres at 0.86% copper, 0.52% nickel, and 0.53 grams per tonne PGE from 38 metres at Delphi-Patry.
"Bambino greatly expands our control of a regional scale mineralising system that has already demonstrated it can produce very high copper, nickel and precious-metal grades.
"We see important vectors for new discovery: abundant gabbro with known intense and active mineralising system, and structural features often associated with sulphide deposition. This further consolidates our strategic greenstone belt position, and allows us to systematically evaluate and test the entire horizon.
This is now a priority exploration area, and geophysics will commence in September ahead of possible drilling in the fourth quarter."
— Ivan Fairhall, Managing Director
The acquisition consolidates fragmented ownership that previously left prospective gabbro host areas with limited exploration, particularly around occurrences last drilled in 1987 and 2002.
The expansion is supported by a $5.4 million financing completed in October 2025 to accelerate drilling and geophysical surveys. While target definition advances at Bambino, Pivotal is executing a diamond drilling program at the past-producing Lorraine mine target within the wider Belleterre area.
Surface geophysics at Bambino is scheduled to commence in September 2026, targeting soil anomalies and fold noses ahead of potential fourth-quarter drilling. The Lorraine Mine drilling program is also scheduled to be completed in September 2026.
