Playfair Mining Ltd. has started drilling at its Mount Uniacke Project, part of the Golden Circle Project in Nova Scotia, with three of the planned six holes completed at the historic West Lake Mine.

The fully funded program totals 2,950 metres across 41 drillholes and is split into three distinct targets. The initial work at the West Lake Mine consists of 600 metres across six holes designed to test a high-grade structural target where veins are predicted to thicken at the "Crumple."

A second phase at Central Crossing comprises 30 shallow holes totalling 1,550 metres to trace the Crumple structure where it intersects a major north-south vein zone roughly 850 metres from the West Lake workings. A final component at the Open Cut Area includes 800 metres across five holes to evaluate bulk-tonnage, disseminated gold potential near historical large open cuts previously mined at 2.8 grams per tonne.

The regional district has seen parallel activity, including TruSilver Metals Corp. entering into a definitive amalgamation agreement in June 2026 to complete a qualifying transaction with Galaxy Ventures Inc. to advance the Sturgis-Walton silver project located within the surrounding district of Nova Scotia.
