PLC Resources Limited has prepared drill pads at the Rochefort Gold Prospect within the Abbotts North Project in Western Australia, with follow-up reverse circulation drilling scheduled to start on 11 September 2026.

The upcoming campaign follows a maiden five-hole reverse circulation drilling program totaling 1,018 metres completed at the prospect in May 2026. That reconnaissance work returned anomalous gold grades of up to 0.4 grams per tonne across three holes, hosted within highly fractionated dolerite. Multi-element geochemical analysis subsequently identified strengthening sodic alteration, magnesium depletion, and pathfinder trends pointing northwest and at depth.

Executive Director Simon Phillips said the technical vectors from the initial program indicate that previous drilling intersected only the margin of a broader gold system.

“With drill pads now prepared at Rochefort, we're ready to get the rig back out in September to test for a larger gold system. We've confirmed the right host rock - highly fractionated dolerite - and the alteration, sulphidation and pathfinder trends all strengthen to the northwest and at depth. Together, they point to the real possibility that we have drilled the edge of a larger gold system - and that is exactly what this next program is designed to test. It is a target we can get back to quickly, because our approvals are already in place.”

The follow-up drilling will proceed without delay under existing environmental and heritage approvals. The company is funded for the work following a $1,800,000 share placement completed in May 2026 to support drilling and geological mapping across the tenement.

Alongside the Rochefort targets, a high-resolution airborne survey has mapped an untested regional structural corridor and fold system along the eastern margin of the Abbotts Greenstone Belt.

“Rochefort is only one part of the picture at Abbotts North. Combined with our newly interpreted regional syncline and structural corridor - which runs the length of our eastern tenure boundary and extends along strike toward New Murchison Gold's Garden Gully Gold Project - we have multiple, complementary discovery opportunities to progress over the coming months.”
