PLC Resources Limited has commenced a follow-up reverse circulation drilling program at the Rochefort gold prospect within its Abbotts North project in Western Australia, targeting north-western and down-dip extensions of anomalous gold intercepts.

The campaign comprises approximately eight holes for roughly 2,400 metres, following a maiden program of five holes totalling 1,018 metres that returned anomalous gold grades up to 0.4 grams per tonne in fractionated dolerite. Subsequent reviews identified strengthening sodic alteration, sulphidation and pathfinder trends pointing towards the northwest and at depth, leading the company to believe the initial drilling clipped the margin of a larger mineralised hydrothermal system.

The ongoing drilling is funded from existing cash reserves under existing approvals. Field work is expected to be completed within 14 days, with first assay results anticipated in four to six weeks.
