Power Metallic Mines Inc. (PNPN) has pushed back the release of its updated mineral resource estimate for the Nisk project. The announcement, which covers the combined Nisk and Lion discoveries, was originally slated for release but will now arrive at the end of August. The company attributed the schedule slip to external staffing constraints rather than data availability.

"The consulting engineering firm engaged for the work has the information needed from the Company but concurrent work loads in multiple projects have delayed staff availability to finalize the MRE." — Power Metallic Management, N/A

Despite the shift in the reporting timeline, field operations remain unaffected. The company currently has five drill rigs operating on the property, and management expects to begin releasing assay results from the ongoing summer exploration program in September. Further data integration is anticipated following the fall, specifically incorporating results from the Squid survey and initial findings from the Muon geophysical program. Shares of the company closed at $1.03, rising 3.00% on the day of the announcement.

Alongside the operational update, the company confirmed internal administrative moves and capital market services. Power Metallic has issued 11.3 million incentive stock options to directors, officers, and consultants at an exercise price of $1.25 per share. Additionally, the company granted 650,000 deferred share units to its board members, which will be settled upon their departure from the company.

The developer also reaffirmed its ongoing relationship with Red Cloud Securities Inc., a firm retained to provide market stabilization and liquidity services. Under this long-standing agreement, which began in July 2023, the company pays a monthly fee of $7,000. These services are intended to maintain reasonable market activity and enhance the profile of the common shares as the company moves forward with its corporate objectives, including an ongoing application for a Nasdaq listing.

Investors should watch for the upcoming catalyst in late August, when the updated mineral resource estimate is now expected. Beyond the resource quantification, the flow of information is set to continue throughout the fall as the summer drill program concludes and new geophysical data is processed. These results, combined with the pending resource figures, will define the next phase of the project's development. Management remains focused on the broader exploration strategy while simultaneously working to meet the regulatory requirements associated with its planned exchange listing, ensuring both the project and the company’s corporate profile continue to advance through the second half of the year.
