Primary Hydrogen Corp. has expanded its Nova Scotia land holdings by staking the Wallace Natural Hydrogen Project in Cumberland County, adding four exploration licences covering 68 claims and approximately 1,101 hectares.

The map staking through the provincial NovaROC system brings Primary Hydrogen’s total Cumberland Basin holdings to six licences across 140 claims, covering approximately 2,267 hectares. The acquisition follows the company's earlier Northumberland project staking, which added two licences covering 72 claims and approximately 1,166 hectares along the northern margin of the basin.

The Wallace project is situated around Wallace Bay between Pugwash and Wallace, with road access via the Route 6 corridor. The area includes the Malagash Peninsula district, home to Canada’s first underground rock-salt mine. Primary interprets these Windsor Group evaporites as potential seal elements for migrating gases, targeted by reactivated basin-margin faults.

Activity across the broader district has seen peer operations advance, including record natural hydrogen mud-gas readings reported by Quebec Innovative Materials Corp. at its Bennett Hill project within the Cumberland Basin.

The company plans to incorporate the project into its Nova Scotia work program for the current field season. Planned work across the basin-margin ground will comprise public geoscience data compilation, structural interpretation, and soil-gas orientation surveying.

No drilling for natural hydrogen has been carried out on the project, and no hydrogen occurrence has been documented to date. Exploration rights will also be subject to Nova Scotia's Subsurface Energy Resource Extraction Act once that framework is proclaimed in force.
